I didn't choose a life with animals. Animals chose me. 🐾I grew up on a farm in rural Connecticut where the population of four-legged residents had a way of growing — fast. People would drop off pets knowing they'd find a loving home, and at our peak we had nearly 70 cats and dogs roaming our little farm. It was glorious chaos and I loved every single minute of it.That early life taught me something invaluable — how to read animals, connect with them, and give each one exactly what they need as an individual.After college I got my first pet who was truly mine — Opie, the most lovable Redbone Hound Dog you've ever met. He set the bar impossibly high and I've been obsessed ever since.I recently had to say goodbye to my precious girl Scouty, my kitty who crossed the rainbow bridge. My heart is still healing — and honestly that grief is exactly why I do what I do. Because I know how much these animals mean to you. I feel it too. Every single day.Welcome to Paws Up.
